  1. Q. When was the university founded?
    Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh, was founded on 09 January in 2003 under the Private University Act 1992 and its amendment in 1998.

  1. Q. How many semesters are offered yearly at GUB and when do they start?
    GUB offers 3 semesters a year: Spring, Summer & Fall, and these starts in January, May & September respectively.For BSS (Hons) in Journalism and Media Communication (JMC): GUB offers admission for JMC department twice a year. You can apply in either Spring or Fall semester. The classes start from February and August accordingly.

  1. Q. Do the applicants apply for admission only online, in person, by written application?
    Applicants can apply both online (http://admission.green.edu.bd/) and in person
  2. Q. How much is the admission application fee?
    Applicants need to pay the non-refundable application fee of Tk. 1000.
  3. Q. How can I pay the admission application form fee?
    Applicants can pay their application/admission fee by cash at GUB or the following online platform:

    • VISA or Master Card
    • bKash, MCash, Rocket, Nagad, Mcash, Upay etc.
  4. Q. What are the Admission Eligibilities for English medium Students?
    An English medium Student must have to complete minimum five subjects in O level and 2 subjects in A level. Out of these 7 subjects the students must have minimum 4 ‘B’ Grade and 3 ‘C’ Grade. Others admission criteria will be followed strictly.
  5. Q. How many years of work experience do applicants require to apply for the EMBA program?
    Those who have a minimum of 2-years of professional work experience (After graduation)can apply for the EMBA Program.
  6. Q. For Undergraduate programs which documents are required to submit by the candidates who have passed from abroad?
    Candidates who have passed from abroad have to submit verified/attested copies of previous academic documents from their Institute/respective Foreign Ministry. Upon arrival Green University will assist them in getting the Equivalence Certificate from the Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  7. Q. For Postgraduate programs which documents are required to submit by the candidates who have passed from abroad?
    Candidates who have passed from abroad have to submit verified/attested copies of previous academic documents from their Institute/respective Foreign Ministry.
  8. Q. Whether any financial aid is available for the needy students?

  9. Q. Does GUB accept any credits completed in other educational institution?Transfer of credits from an educational institution with a system similar to GUB may be considered after admission. Such candidates will have to apply with required documents and are subject to credit transfer rules of GUB.
  10. Q. Does GUB offer any online courses?
    We do not offer online courses or degree programs.
  11. Q. Is there any provision for those who do not have the required level of proficiency in English language?
    Many students willing to join the university might not have the required standard of proficiency in English language. If the students fail to attain the minimum standard of English proficiency required by the university, they have to attend EAP 009: English for Academic Purposes Course at GUB.
  12. Q. Is there any evening class for undergraduate programs?
    There is no evening class for undergraduate programs except Diploma Holders.
  13. Q. Is there any evening class for postgraduate programs?
    All the classes of Post graduate programs are held in the evening shift and weekend.

    Applicants are required to look in the admission process manual at the GUB website (http://www.green.edu.bd/admissions/admission-flowchart/) to have precise information about admission procedures.

  3. Q. Do I have to upload a photograph as part of my application form in online?
    Applicants are required to upload their scanned recent passport size formal photograph taken within last three months.
  4. Q. How can I correct my mistakes I made in the application form?
    If applicants make any mistake during filling up their application form and submit it with that error, they are required to send an email immediately at admission@green.edu.bd to inform the Admission Officer.
  5. Q. How much is the admission application fee?
    Applicants need to pay the non-refundable application fee Tk. 1000.

  7. Q. Do I have to appear in admission test for Undergraduate admission?
    Prospective students will have to face admission test before getting admission in GUB. But those who have combined GPA of 7.00 in SSC and HSC will be exempted from the admission test. In addition, candidates from BTEB who have combined GPA of 6.00 in SSC and Diploma Program will be exempted from the admission test.
  8. Q. Do I have to appear in admission test for Postgraduate admission?
    Candidates for MBA, EMBA and LLM programs will exempted from the admission test.
  9. Q. How many sections will be in the admission written test?a.Candidates for BBA/LLB (Hons)/English/FTDM/Sociology: Written and MCQ Test in English, General Knowledge and Mathematics
    b.Candidates for CSE/EEE/Textile Engineering: Written and MCQ Test in English, General Knowledge,Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
    c.Those who qualify in the admission test will be called for admission.

 

  1. Q. Whether the university has any international collaboration/credit transfer facilities?
    Yes, at present Green University has collaboration with many foreign reputed universities, where GUB students may transfer their credits if they fulfill admission criteria of the concern university.     The GUB Authority is well aware to create a congenial educational environment in the campus. Thus, it provides all sorts of facilities required for smooth development of mental and physical growth of a student.   1. Q. Is there adequate laboratory facilities available?
    Yes, GUB has diverse modern laboratories and associated facilities to support GUB students studying in different departments.

 

  1. Q. Whether safety resources exist in the university?
    Yes, the university has required safety measures for emergency. University has own Physician for its students, teachers and staffs. Beside these in every floor fire control facilities and CC Camera are available.

 

  1. Q. How can parents and family members of current students stay informed?

  1. Q. Is there any part-time job available for the students in the university?
    Yes, considering the potentiality, university provides part-time job facilities for the students at ONE STOP SERVICE of the university.

 

  1. Q. How can I change my department?
    To change department, you need to collect a department change form from the Registrar’s office; then you need both Chairpersons’ (current Dept. and desired Dept.) signature on the form. After that contact the Registrar’s office again for submitting the form.
  2. Q. Are there any hostel facilities in Green University?
    At present, there is no hostel facility of GUB. But we are provided necessary guideline to the student to find a suitable hostel near the university. Please contact the Admissions Office for details.
  3. Q. Where can I get Information Change Form, Admission Withdrawal/Cancel Form, Fresher’s Semester Drop Form?

    1. The Information Change Form:
    If a student wants to change her/his given information in the GUMS, then s/he must apply by collecting and filling up the Information Change Form from the Office of the Registrar, GUB.
    2. The Admission Withdrawal/Cancel Form:
    A. If a student wants to withdraw/cancel her/his admission or studentship from GUB, then s/he must apply by collecting and filling up the Admission Cancelling Form from the Office of the Registrar, GUB.
    3. Fresher’s Semester Drop Form:
    If a fresher student wants to drop the semester then s/he must apply by collecting and filling up Fresher’s Semester Drop Form from the respective Department Office.

 

  1. Q. Whether the university provides extra-curricular facilities for the students?
    Yes, the university organizes various cultural programs in different occasions, participate various indoor and outdoor sports competition. Beside these, each Department organizes one daylong Annual Picnic program.
