Greetings from the Department of English!

With immense pleasure, on behalf of the Department of English, I would like to inform you that on June 9, 2021, Green University English Club (GUEC) in collaboration with the department of English has officially organized a charity work at Sena Palli High School Gate, Kochukhet. The event was covered by a renowned national daily newspaper of Bangladesh “The Business Standard.”

Although Green University English Club (GUEC) is a performing art-based cultural and educational organization, along with the extra-curricular activities, it also organizes a few charity works. During this COVID-19 pandemic, many families are suffering from financial crises. On that note, Green University English Club (GUEC) has created a sense of social responsiveness amongst the students with the relentless support of the Moderator Mr. Ashik Istiak, Senior Lecturer, Department of English and Deputy Moderator Ms. Munira Nawar, Lecturer, Department of English. Mr. K. M. Wazed Kabir, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of English has encouraged and invited all to join for this noble cause.

This event has demonstrated the sense of responsibility amongst the students as responsible citizens exploring their ethical drive and mortality. This has not only helped them develop their organizing and leadership skills but also understand the true meaning of humanity being students of Humanities themselves. Green University English Club (GUEC) is planning to organize this type of charity work every semester.
