Greetings from the Green University Library!
With great pleasure, on behalf of the GUB Library, I would like to inform you that the Library in collaboration with the Department of Law has organized a training program on ‘Manupatra Online Database for Legal Research’. The session was held on Monday, 06 September at 3:00 pm using Zoom Platform. The training covered a practical demonstration of the resources and services of the Manupatra Legal Database, and how to avail of them. Around 82 participants were present at the program.
The program began with greetings and anchoring by Pallika Devi, a student of the Dept. Law. She then introduced the honorable session Chair DR. PARVEZ AHMED Sir and the Deputy Librarian Mr. Md. Ashiqur Rahman. With the permission of the honorable session chair, the anchor invited the Deputy Librarian to say something about the program. Mr. Ashiqur Rahman recalled the bitter experiences of both students and faculty members during the circulation services of case reports and how the Manupatra released us from the hassles. He requested to utilize the resources as much as our Law community can. It will help to renew the subscription for the next year.
Afterward, the session Chair DR. PARVEZ AHMED informed the audience about the important resources available on Manupatra. He requested the faculty members to refer the Manupatra resources to the students. He suggested the students browsing the ins and outs of the Manupatra Database and contact the deputy librarian and the resources person Mr. Miraz Ahmed if they face any difficulties.
Later Mr. Miraz Ahmed, the resource person of the program, presented the details of the Manupatra database and its resources and services. He demonstrated the process of searching and downloading case reports, e-books, and journal articles from it.
At the end of the program, the honorable session Chair DR. PARVEZ AHMED Sir appreciated the organizing team for arranging a fruitful session and faculty members and students for joining the training program.
