Welcome to the Faculty of Law, Green University of Bangladesh.

Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) was founded in 2003 with the vision to create a global higher education center of excellence. GUB’s greatest resource in fulfilling its mission is its faculty of about 300 distinguished scholars and educators. The students of GUB experience a vibrant university community on the scenic beauty of its permanent campus at Purbachal, Narayanganj, adjacent to Dhaka with a diverse range of academic offerings and about 8000 participating students.

As part of the GUB vision, the Faculty of Law aims at catering the dynamic legal education entangling quality teaching based on practical base and contemporary needs, quality research activities, mooting activities which are conducted through various seminars, workshops, court visits, study tours, mooting competitions, poster presentations, national and international conferences etc.

As Dean of the Faculty of Law, this is my privilege to share that teaching-learning methodology at tertiary level has tremendously been shifted towards ‘Outcome-Based Education (OBE)’ curriculum, hence, the programme curriculum under the faculty has also been modified in furtherance of our commitment to ensure the ‘Outcome-Based Legal Education’ to enable students to triumphantly face the challenges of 21st century. Further, the faculty has planned its education program in such a way that not only students can achieve excellence in their field, but also, they can learn the core values of GUB crucial for tomorrow's leaders, which they can reflect on other aspects of their life as well. Along with field-specific courses, the innovative GED Courses included in the curricula will help the students in their professional lives.

The Faculty of Law has a good number of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a number of reputed institutions and in near future the faculty will make the best use of the MOUs by aiming to enhance professional experiences. The faculty is vigilant to the fact that the education programs that it offers contain contents parallel to current developments in the world and to that end, the faculty takes utmost care to employ a dynamic and enthusiast bunch of teaching stuffs with experience in their respective field to train the students so that they can investigate, question, internalize and adopt lifelong education.

As the Dean of the Faculty of Law, I am heartily welcoming you to the Department of Law, because we are sincerely focused on building your high-end legal career. I believe you will join our department and in future you will be able to contribute towards building a nation where the principles of nationalism, socialism, democracy and secularism will be established for a just and equal society. I am confident that your time here at the green campus of Green University shall prove to be an enriching experience.
