Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh, was founded on 09 January in 2003 under the Private University Act 1992 and its amendment in 1998.

GUB offers semesters a year: Spring & Fall, and these starts in January & July respectively.For BSS (Hons) in Journalism and Media Communication (JMC): GUB offers admission for JMC department twice a year. You can apply in either Spring or Fall semester. The classes start from February and August accordingly.

Applicants can apply both online (https://applyonline.green.edu.bd/Admission/Home.aspx) and in person

Applicants need to pay the non-refundable application fee of Tk. 1000.

Applicants can pay their application/admission fee by cash at GUB or the following online platform:
  • VISA or Master Card
  • bKash, MCash, Rocket, Nagad, Mcash, Upay etc.

An English medium Student must have to complete minimum five subjects in O level and 2 subjects in A level. Out of these 7 subjects the students must have minimum 4 ‘B’ Grade and 3 ‘C’ Grade. Others admission criteria will be followed strictly.

Those who have a minimum of 2-years of professional work experience (After graduation)can apply for the EMBA Program.

Candidates who have passed from abroad have to submit verified/attested copies of previous academic documents from their Institute/respective Foreign Ministry. Upon arrival Green University will assist them in getting the Equivalence Certificate from the Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Transfer of credits from an educational institution with a system similar to GUB may be considered after admission. Such candidates will have to apply with required documents and are subject to credit transfer rules of GUB.

We do not offer online courses or degree programs.

Many students willing to join the university might not have the required standard of proficiency in English language. If the students fail to attain the minimum standard of English proficiency required by the university, they have to attend EAP 009: English for Academic Purposes Course at GUB.

There is no evening class for undergraduate programs except Diploma Holders.

All the classes of Post graduate programs are held in the evening shift and weekend.

Applicants are required to look in the admission process manual at the GUB website (https://green.edu.bd/admission-flowchart) to have precise information about admission procedures.

Applicants can apply both online and in person.

Applicants are required to upload their scanned recent passport size formal photograph taken within last three months.

If applicants make any mistake during filling up their application form and submit it with that error, they are required to send an email immediately at admission@green.edu.bd to inform the Admission Officer.

Prospective students will have to face admission test before getting admission in GUB. But those who have combined GPA of 7.00 in SSC and HSC will be exempted from the admission test. In addition, candidates from BTEB who have combined GPA of 6.00 in SSC and Diploma Program will be exempted from the admission test.

Candidates for MBA, EMBA and LLM programs will exempted from the admission test.

a. Candidates for BBA/LLB (Hons)/English/FTDM/Sociology: Written and MCQ Test in English, General Knowledge and Mathematics
b. Candidates for CSE/EEE/Textile Engineering: Written and MCQ Test in English, General Knowledge,Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
c. Those who qualify in the admission test will be called for admission.

The GUB Authority is well aware to create a congenial educational environment in the campus. Yes, GUB has diverse modern laboratories and associated facilities to support GUB students studying in different departments.

Yes, the university has required safety measures for emergency. University has own Physician for its students, teachers and staffs. Beside these in every floor fire control facilities and CC Camera are available.

Yes, considering the potentiality, university provides part-time job facilities for the students at ONE STOP SERVICE of the university.

To change department, you need to collect a department change form from the Registrar’s office; then you need both Chairpersons’ (current Dept. and desired Dept.) signature on the form. After that contact the Registrar’s office again for submitting the form.

At present, there is no hostel facility of GUB. But we are provided necessary guideline to the student to find a suitable hostel near the university. Please contact the Admissions Office for details.

1. The Information Change Form: If a student wants to change her/his given information in the GUMS, then s/he must apply by collecting and filling up the Information Change Form from the Office of the Registrar, GUB.
2. The Admission Withdrawal/Cancel Form: If a student wants to withdraw/cancel her/his admission or studentship from GUB, then s/he must apply by collecting and filling up the Admission Cancelling Form from the Office of the Registrar, GUB.
3. Fresher’s Semester Drop Form: If a fresher student wants to drop the semester then s/he must apply by collecting and filling up Fresher’s Semester Drop Form from the respective Department Office.

Yes, the university organizes various cultural programs in different occasions, participate various indoor and outdoor sports competition. Beside these, each Department organizes one daylong Annual Picnic program.
