Chairperson Meets with First Semester Students for Pre-Midterm Guidance, Summer 2026, Batch 260

We are delighted to share that the Green University Student Mentorship Program Committee (GUSMP), in collaboration with the Green Neural and Synaptic Intelligence Society (Genesis Club) of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (ADS), successfully organized an online discussion session titled "Chairperson Meets with First Semester Students for Pre-Midterm Guidance, Summer 2026."

The event was held on Monday, 13th July 2026, from 7:45 PM to 9:00 PM via Zoom. It was specially arranged for Batch 260 (1st Semester) students as they prepared for their first midterm examinations. The session aimed to provide academic guidance, examination instructions, and motivational support to help students perform confidently in their examinations. Faculty members and mentors were present to share valuable advice and answer students' queries.

The session commenced with an opening speech by Md. Jahidul Hasan Jisan, ADS Mentor, who warmly welcomed the participants and introduced the objectives of the Mentorship Program. He encouraged students to maintain a disciplined study routine, make effective use of the mentorship opportunities, and actively participate in departmental and club activities. He also shared practical preparation strategies to help students approach their first midterm examinations with confidence.

Following this, Md. Maruful Islam Maruf, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, Department of ADS, discussed important examination procedures, including admit card collection, examination schedules, make-up examinations, improvement examinations, and examination overlap policies. He emphasized the importance of carefully checking the examination schedule and complying with university regulations.

Alongside him, Ms. Wahia Tasnim, Lecturer, Department of ADS, also addressed the students and shared valuable guidance on effective study habits, time management, and maintaining consistency throughout the semester. She encouraged students to remain focused, seek support whenever necessary, and approach their examinations with confidence and a positive mindset.

Afterwards, Dr. Muhammad Abul Hasan, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of ADS, delivered an inspiring speech focusing on effective preparation, discipline, academic honesty, and time management. He motivated the students to embrace challenges with confidence and emphasized the importance of integrity in both examinations and academic life. He also clarified university policies regarding make-up and improvement examinations and addressed several common concerns raised by the students.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students actively participated by raising their concerns regarding examinations, academic policies, and course-related matters. The faculty members and mentor provided detailed responses, ensuring that the students felt confident and well-prepared for their upcoming first midterm examinations.

The event was smoothly conducted and hosted by Genesis Club member Wasif Iqbal, who ensured a professional and engaging flow throughout the session.

Overall, the session was highly successful, providing students with valuable academic guidance, practical examination instructions, and motivational encouragement. It reinforced the importance of discipline, effective time management, academic integrity, and continuous learning, inspiring the students of Batch 260 to confidently prepare for their first midterm examinations in the Summer 2026 semester.
