Dept. of JMC Successfully Concludes Community Outreach Program at Narsingdi Independent College

Community Outreach Program titled "Media and Communication in the 21st Century: A Gateway to Awareness and Opportunities" was successfully held on Wednesday, 23 April 2025, at Narsingdi Independent College, Saheprotab, Narsingdi.

The day-long program featured an Interactive Seminar, Documentary Screening, Quiz Contest and a Prize-Giving Ceremony. It was a highly engaging and impactful initiative, attended by over 300 enthusiastic students.

Our honorable faculty member, Md. Zakir Hossain, delivered an inspiring session on media literacy, emphasizing the importance of understanding media and communication in our rapidly evolving world. He encouraged students to consider higher education opportunities in this dynamic field.

The Documentary Screening session showcased the GUB and JMC documentaries. Following the screening, Kazi Mahadi Muntasir, Media Lab Coordinator, introduced students to the facilities of the JMC Media Lab and the student-friendly atmosphere of the GUB campus, sparking genuine interest among attendees to visit and learn more about our university.

Current JMC students also shared their own experiences, highlighting the broad career prospects in journalism and media communication, which left a lasting impression on the audience.

The Quiz Contest was the most engaging part of the event, with enthusiastic participation from students. Prizes were awarded to all who answered correctly, which added to the excitement and motivation.
