The Green University Center for International Affairs (GCiA) recently organized a bilateral coordination meeting with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) to establish a concrete action plan for operationalizing the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both institutions.
Hosted by Dr. Md. Elham Hossain, Director of GCiA, alongside the GCiA team, the session welcomed key representatives from UKM, including Associate Professors Dr. Anuar Mikdad Muad and Dr. Afida Ayob from the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering.
During the session, leadership from both universities agreed on several collaborative outcomes to deepen institutional ties:
Joint Research Projects: Initiating joint research initiatives connecting the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at GUB with the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering at UKM.
Faculty Mobility & Appointments: Facilitating short-term faculty exchange programs and engaging distinguished UKM faculty members as adjunct professors at Green University.
Academic & Conference Support: Co-hosting academic webinars and cross-delegating keynote speakers, session chairs, moderators, and resource persons for international conferences hosted by either institution.
Interactive Learning: Implementing Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programs to create shared digital classroom experiences for students.
Regular Monitoring: Establishing a schedule for periodic progress review meetings each semester to ensure sustained momentum across all joint projects.
This engagement underscores Green University’s ongoing commitment to broadening global academic networks, fostering joint research innovation, and creating valuable international opportunities for both faculty and students.
