We are pleased to inform you that the Center for International Affairs has arranged a successful seminar titled "Gateway to China: Visa Processes, Scholarships, and Career Opportunities for Bangladeshi Students “on 27th April, 2026, at the Syndicate Room A -409 of Green University of Bangladesh. This seminar primarily focused on scholarships, opportunities for higher education in China, and the steps to make a career in China for Bangladeshi students.
The program commenced with a welcoming speech by Mr Mohammad Golam Mohiuddin, Assistant Director of the Center for International Affairs. The event was facilitated by Lai Jinxi, Managing Director, Chinese visa application center, Bangladesh, and Ma Xiaoyan, Director, Confucius Institute, North South University.
In his speech, Mr Lai Jinxi demonstrated the application procedure, eligibility criteria, language requirements, and tuition fee structure for the Master's and PhD programs at Chinese Universities. Additionally, he provided an overview of the necessary documents and guidance on finding the desired university and subjects for higher studies in China.
Ms Ma Xiaoyan , Director, Confucius Institute, North South University focused on the prospect of Chinese Language learning to the students of Green University of Bangladesh and enlightened them with various pathways and opportunities they can avail with proficiency in Chinese language.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed graced the seminar as Chief Guest and Special Guest. They expressed gratitude to the guests from the Chinese Visa Application Center , Confucius Center and to Dr. Elham Hossain, Director, GCiA, for organizing this informative event. The distinguished guests were also presented with crests by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh as a token of appreciation and in recognition of their valuable contributions to the event.
The interactive sessions allowed participants to explore various aspects of higher education, scholarship opportunities, and current job market trends in China. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers, who responded spontaneously and shared their insights.
Finally, the seminar concluded with a warm “Vote of Thanks” by Dr. Elham Hossain, Director, GCiA.
