Leadership Training Program 2026 Successfully Organized at Green University of BangladeshThe Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully organized the Leadership Training Program 2026 on 28 July 2026 at Room A-302. The day-long training brought together 81 student leaders, including the Presidents and Representatives of 17 student clubs, with the objective of strengthening their leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.The program commenced with registration and materials distribution, followed by six interactive training sessions conducted by distinguished academicians and university leaders.The first session, "Youth Leadership, Volunteerism and Capacity Building," was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Distinguished Professor and Director of the Learning and Teaching Innovation Center (LTIC), BRAC University, and Former Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh. He inspired participants by highlighting the importance of youth leadership, volunteerism, and continuous personal development in creating positive social impact.The second session, "Leadership, Team Building and Decision-Making," was conducted by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean of the Green Business School. He emphasized the qualities of effective leaders, collaborative teamwork, and informed decision-making in achieving organizational success.In the third session, "Co-curricular Leadership, Event and Volunteer Management," Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Director of the Office of Student Affairs, discussed the significance of co-curricular engagement, strategic event planning, and volunteer management in developing responsible student leaders.Following the lunch and prayer break, Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, conducted the fourth session on "Strategic Leadership, Quality Assurance and Planning." He shared valuable insights into strategic thinking, institutional quality enhancement, and effective planning for sustainable leadership.The fifth session, "Ethics, Discipline, Social Media and Crisis Handling," was facilitated by Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Proctor of Green University of Bangladesh. He highlighted ethical leadership, responsible use of social media, discipline, and effective crisis management in student organizations.The final technical session on "Communication, Public Speaking and Presentations" was delivered by Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Director of CETL and CRITS, Green University of Bangladesh. Participants learned practical techniques for improving communication skills, public speaking, and delivering impactful presentations.Captain (Navy) Shaikh Mohammad Salahuddin, (TAS), NGP, psc (retd), Registrar of Green University of Bangladesh, delivered the closing remarks. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of leadership, integrity, teamwork, and active student engagement in shaping responsible future leaders. He encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the training in their respective student clubs and to contribute positively to the university and society. His inspiring address concluded with his appreciation for the Office of Student Affairs for organizing such a meaningful initiative.Event Photograph
