The seminar titled “Next-Generation Road Transportation and Intelligent Systems Technologies: Towards Research Collaboration, Higher Study, and Career Opportunities in Japan” was successfully organized by CRITS in collaboration with GURPC on 18 August 2026 at A-302, Green University of Bangladesh. The Honorable Vice Chancellor of GUB, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, was present as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, GUB, was present as the Special Guest.Prof. Kou Yamada provided an informative overview of Gunma University, introducing its academic departments, research facilities, laboratories, graduate programs, and the various opportunities available for international students. He also highlighted scholarship and funding opportunities for students interested in pursuing Master's and PhD studies at Gunma University. Assoc. Prof. Md. Abdus Samad Kamal discussed the rapidly developing field of next-generation road transportation and intelligent transportation systems, with a particular focus on vehicle automation, autonomous cars, intelligent control, and advanced transportation technologies. He also introduced his research activities and highlighted opportunities for MSc and PhD students to join his laboratory and contribute to ongoing research projects.After the speakers' sessions, our Special Guest expressed sincere appreciation to CRITS for organizing this informative and timely seminar. He also conveyed his gratitude to both speakers for taking the time to share their valuable knowledge, research experiences, and guidance with the participants.Finally, the seminar was concluded by  Dr. ASM Shihabuddin, Director of CRITS & CETL, who expressed his sincere thanks to the Chief Guest, Special Guest, distinguished speakers, faculty members, students, participants, organizers, and everyone who contributed to the successful completion of the event. He particularly appreciated the valuable support and efforts of the GURPC members, whose contribution played an important role in organizing and conducting the seminar successfully.Overall, the seminar was a highly informative and inspiring platform for our students and researchers, providing valuable insights into higher studies in Japan, scholarships, research opportunities, international collaboration, autonomous vehicles, intelligent transportation systems, and future career prospects. We hope this seminar will serve as a starting point for future research collaborations and new academic opportunities between students, researchers, and Gunma University.
